Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide, such as your name and display preferences.

Financial Transaction Data: SpendKeep ingests transaction alerts that you forward via SMS or email. This data includes transaction amounts, merchants, dates, and accounts. This data is stored securely in your private database partition and is never shared with third parties.

Usage Data: We may collect information about how you access and use the platform, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on features. This data is used solely for improving the service.

Cookies: We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the SpendKeep platform
• Parse and categorize your financial transactions using AI
• Generate spending insights, dashboards, and annual reports
• Send essential service communications (e.g., password resets)
• Ensure the security and integrity of your account

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or financial data with any third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. We enforce Row Level Security (RLS) policies, which means your data is strictly isolated — no other user can access your records under any circumstances.

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. All API keys and sensitive credentials are stored as environment variables and are never exposed to the client.

While we take every precaution to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

SpendKeep uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — Database and authentication hosting
• Vercel — Application hosting and deployment
• AI Accountant — AI processing for transaction parsing and categorization. Only the text of your forwarded alerts is sent, not your name, email, or account credentials.
• MarketAux / Yahoo Finance / RSS feeds — Public financial news data (no user data is shared)

You have the right to:

• Access all personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your transaction data at any time

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

SpendKeep is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
